Apple’s strength is not just in its products, but also in its brand. No matter where you go in the world, people know what Apple stands for. That’s because of the hard work and attention to detail that goes into making sure each communication works in the same way, whilst respecting local laws and culture. A big part of my job at Media Arts Lab involved localising US adverts for Europe and MERT. Often I would personally localise content for the UK whilst leading a team of French, German, Spanish, Italian and Swiss copywriters localising scripts, choosing local talent and recording voice overs as well as making art directional decisions. Below you can see a video my art director and I created which summarises the localisation work I did at MAL.
